Era uma vez um ARC (advanced copyright) que se tornou um dos meus romances preferidos de Junho e até do primeiro semestre deste ano. Confesso que a capa não me cativou mas não consegui resistir a uma autora com o nome da minha filha, tal como não consegui resistir a tropes tão tentadoras como GirlNextDoor ou EnemiesToLovers.
Este romance tem tudo o que podemos pedir para uma leitura que tanto tem de sexy como de angustiante.
As personagens são lindas e completas, a tensão sexual é palpável, cenas eróticas na medida certa, twists em abundância, um protagonista masculino muito sexy e cheio de contras, uma protagonista feminina terra a terra com um coração de ouro e cheio de prós. Tal como Charlie, também eu adoro listas e se fizesse uma de prós e contras All Kinds of Wrong teria um lado completamente vazio, porque aqui não há contras nenhuns.
Aurora Jane sabe o que são preliminares literários e a importância que eles têm para tornar tudo muito mais intenso. É um romance cheio de clichés, mas adorei que ele me surpreendesse constantemente.
Connor é perfeito por ser tão imperfeito, mas não consegui deixar de me sentir atraída por ele e pelo seu Passado. Adorei acompanhar a sua evolução e partiu-me o coração assisti-lo a cometer erros. Charlie por sua vez é o oposto de Connor e por isso encaixaram perfeitamente. Também ela tem Passado, e que surpresa ele foi, e a autora soube apresentar-nos uma personagem super realista com o seu quotidiano e a sua patologia.
Para além de Charlie e Connor também me apaixonei por Liv (quero uma melhor amiga assim) e torço por um segundo livro sobre Liv e Luc (começo a perceber um padrão de casais com a mesma inicial no nome). Adorei Luc, adorei Andrew, adorei Ben e até adorei o Dr. Fielman! Não dá para não gostar de ninguém e todo o livro é recheado de momentos tão bons!
Como podem ver adorei cada página deste romance e foi pegar e nunca mais largar. Mesmo na última página não consegui fechar o ebook porque estava à espera que milagrosamente aparecem mais páginas.
Aurora Jane excita-nos, amolece-nos o coração, faz-nos sofrer, mas no final de tudo faz-nos rir e ser muito felizes, porque All Kinds of Wrongs é um romance que enche corações e se não encher é porque não tem coração!
Adorei o privilégio de ler este livro avançado e estou ansiosa por saber o que toda a gente vai achar quando ler e se se vão apaixonar como eu.

Once upon time, there was an ARC (Advanced Reader’s Copy) that quickly became one of my favourite novels of June – perhaps even of the first half of this year. I admit that I didn’t particularly care for the cover, but I couldn’t resist an author sharing my daughter’s name – the same way I couldn’t resist tropes as tempting as Girl Next Door or Enemies to Lovers.
This novel has everything you could want from a book that is as sexy as is heart-breaking.
The characters are delightful and complex, you could cut the sexual tension with a knife, it has just the right amount of erotic scenes, and plot twists aplenty, a male protagonist that is both sexy and complicated, and a female protagonist who is down-to-earth, has a heart of gold and full of positivity. Like Charlie, I also love making lists, and if I had to write one for All Kinds of Wrong, the “Con” section would be completely empty – because I can’t find any.
Aurora Janeunderstands literary foreplay, and how important they are to make the reading much more intense. Sure, this novel makes liberal use of clichés, but, somehow, it managed to surprise me at every turn.
Connor is perfect in his imperfection, and I couldn’t stop myself from being drawn to him and his Past. I loved to follow his development and growth, and my heart would break whenever he made a mistake. Charlie, on the other hand is the total opposite of Connor, and that makes them fit perfectly. She also has a Past (and what a surprise it turns out to be) – but the author manages to give us a character that is very realist, in both her daily life and pathology.
On top of Charlie and Conner, I also completely fell in love with Liv – I want a best friend like her – which made me pray for a second book that focuses on Live and Luc (I’m seeing a pattern here, with couples sharing the first letter in their names). I loved Luc, I loved Andrew, I loved Ben and I even loved Dr. Fieldman. It’s impossible not to love all the characters – and the book is filled with amazing moments.
In case it wasn’t obvious, I loved every single page of this novel, and once I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. Even after the story was over, I couldn’t close my ebook – instead, I kept turning pages, in hope that some more would miraculously appear.
Aurora Jane knows how to thrill, how to melt your heart, how to make you suffer, but also how to make you happy – because All Kinds of Wrongsis a novel that will fill your heart with joy (and if it doesn’t, it’s probably because you don’t have a heart to begin with).
I am ever so grateful for the privilege of reading this Advanced Copy, and eager to see others reading it, and see if they, too, will fall in love with it as much as I did.
